Best Workforce Development Program: Recognizing the best program in advancing opportunities for high performing employees; providing training and competency development to continuously engage and motivate the workforce.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) conducts an annual Employee Viewpoint Survey which tracks workforce trends and needs. The data shows a strong correlation between effective manager-employee communication and employee satisfaction scores.
In support of these findings, CDC’s Human Capital Planning Branch partnered with Dr. Ken Amitin of Organizational Services Corporation to provide training which would prepare employees and supervisors to strengthen their communication by discussing and implementing practical ways to expand work satisfaction and effectiveness.
The Expanding Your Work Satisfaction and Effectiveness and Taking Time to Talk workshops have proven effective in strengthening employee-supervisor communication and work satisfaction. Further, conducting the training for intact work groups has also had a positive impact on teamwork.
